Franchise owner Randy Jeppesen also intends to open in the St. Johns Town Center area and in Jacksonville Beach. The 2,000-square-foot Brooklyn Station location will open at 90 Riverside Ave., next to Burrito Gallery. Franklin Street is Grabbagreen’s North Florida tenant representative.
Grabbagreen, an Arizona-based healthy, organic fast food concept, has inked a deal to open three locations in metro Atlanta over the next two years. Though the first store is slated to open in the first quarter of 2017, no leases have been signed, What Now Atlanta reports. Grabbagreen promises “preservative-free, naturally gluten-free, no GMO whole food menu” of hormone- and antibiotic-free proteins, pressed juices, smoothies, hot grains, and cold greens.
A healthy grab-and-go concept will be opening its first location in Jacksonville this fall at Brooklyn Station.
Grabbagreen will open its first location in the area between Burrito Gallery and the previously-announced Drybar in the Fresh Market-anchored shopping center near Downtown.
Katy Figg, director of retail leasing at Franklin Street’s Jacksonville office, represented Grabbagreen in negotiations. Finding the right space for a new concept can be tough, she said, but she expects this location “to knock it out of the park.”
“Brooklyn Station offered an opportunity for the concept to launch operations in a proven center with a customer base focused on healthy eating,” Figg said.
Grabbagreen is a food and juice restaurant that utilizes “super food” ingredients and offers a wide selection of grain and green-based bowls. It was founded in 2013.
The local Grabbagreen will be owned by Randy Jeppesen, who previously worked at Andersen Consulting and has since started several other businesses.
“I am more excited about the Grabbagreen concept than any other business that I have previously owned,” he said.
Jepson is planning additional locations near the St. Johns Town Center and at Jacksonville Beach.
“I believe in the offerings and business model, and we think this market has an unmet need in this kind of grab-and-go healthy alternative to typical fast food,” he said in a news release.
A restaurant and juice bar new to Jacksonville is joining Brooklyn Station on Riverside. Grabbagreen is scheduled to open this fall in the space next to Burrito Gallery.
